What Happens to Every Part Before Delivery?

In the sewing parts industry, there's a consensus: brands are the foundation of quality. We value brands too, which is why our shelves are stocked with trusted products from SCHMETZ needles to HIROSE hooks, from TOWA bobbin cases to Strong H blades.

But our work begins after the brand.

You might be familiar with part numbers like SCHMETZ's DB*1, DP*5; HIROSE's 7.94B, 6-5TR; TOWA's BC-DB1-NBL, 40264; or YIH SHING's P351, KP767. But what you might not know is that every single part shipped to you must complete a set of "standard procedures" unique to KWONGLAM before it leaves our warehouse.

This isn't a documentary. It's our Standard Operating Procedure :

1. Identity Verification: The picker locates each part based on the order. The model displayed in the system, like "HIROSE 7.94B", must exactly match the number on the physical packaging. This is the first step to eliminate errors.

2. Visual Inspection: Under professional lighting, our inspectors examine parts like searching for fingerprints. Is there even a slight bend in the shaft of a needle? Any unusual scratches or rust on the surface of a hook? Is the base plate of a YIH SHING presser foot perfectly smooth and flat? Any minor cosmetic defect is enough for it to be rejected.

3. Critical Dimension Sampling: We use precision measuring tools to sample and check critical dimensions. For instance, is the height and angle of the teeth on a Golden Dove Feed Dog within the allowed tolerance? This ensures compatibility and performance after installation.

4. Functional Simulation (For Core Components): For core components like hooks and bobbin cases, inspection goes beyond "looking." Our experienced technicians use compatible fixtures for dynamic simulation, feeling the smoothness of engagement between a hook and a bobbin case (like the TOWA BC-DB1-NBL), and testing if the tension of a bobbin case is even and stable. This "feel," built up over years of experience, is the final defense line that machines cannot fully replace.

It documents real snippets of the above procedures—how our inspector feels the smoothness of a needle with their fingertips, examines the edge of a blade under a magnifying glass, and mounts a hook onto a test shaft to confirm its smooth operation.
